• Applicants must be 18 years or older. 

• Must be able to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds for certain tasks. 

• Residency in Norris Lake is preferred but not required.

• Interviews and orientation will be conducted individually prior to the season, followed by a mandatory group training day (or 2) before the season begins. 

• Accepted staff will be required to complete a W9 and sign for issued staff clothing (shirts and/or hat).

Seasonal Staff support the safe and enjoyable operation of the Main Beach, Community Pool, Lake, and other NLCBC-owned areas, including:

• Membership Verification & Access Control: Check for valid Membership Cards and IDs for all visitors entering the Main Beach, Community Pool, and those using Norris Lake. Log entries and deny access to anyone without an active membership or who appears on the delinquency list. 

• Pool Area Duties: Test and log pool water, enforce posted pool rules, and ensure safe behavior among swimmers. 

• End-of-Shift Responsibilities: 
  • Clean and restock restrooms & common areas
  • Return furniture to its original location 
  • Pick up litter and other out-of-place items
  • Empty trash cans and take the trash bags to the dumpster 

•  Grounds Maintenance: Assist with light landscaping tasks such as pulling occasional weeds and treating pests (e.g., ants, wasps) as needed. 

• Boating Oversight (for staff with GA Boater Safety Certificates or other verified training): Monitor lake activity, verify valid Membership Cards and IDs for boaters, fishers, etc. and ensure safety compliance.
